Global's Scotbuild, Calder merge and rebrand

1 hour Global's Scotbuild is to merge with Calder Electrical and rebrand as SB Services, aiming to offer a 'a fully integrated multi-trade solution across the commercial, industrial, energy and residential sectors.'

Highland service companies Scotbuild and Calder Electrical, were acquired by energy and infrastructure solutions provider, Global, in 2024 to strengthen its construction and building services portfolio.

Daniel Cormack, appointed as MD at the time of the acquisitions said, "This is an exciting milestone for the business which is now unified under one brand. The launch of SB Services and our new Mechanical division strengthens our ability to deliver larger and more complex projects across the North of Scotland. We’ve built a strong team with the right experience, accreditations and local presence and we’re looking forward to continuing that growth with both existing and new clients."

With the merger came a series of key appointments. Paul Richardson will be mechanical operations manager, and John MacPherson will be compliance and technical manager. Chris Ogg has a new role as operations manager.
