Framework operation description
ï‚§ Lots 1 & 2
Award without further competition:
1. The three successful contractors who gain a place on lots 1 or 2 will be ranked (1st – 3rd) based on their tender evaluation score in applying to get on the Framework.
2. The Council will approach the first ranked supplier with a brief / schedule of works, designs and all other necessary information relating to the works scheme.
3. The contractor must respond to the Council within 5 working days (or earlier if stipulated by the Framework Manager) either accepting or declining the works.
4. Upon acceptance of the works, the Council must then give the contractor a further 2-weeks (or earlier if stipulated by the Framework Manager) to provide a price for the works and any other information required by the Council.
5. If the first placed contractor is unavailable, unwilling or unable to undertake the works or has not replied within the given timeframe, the Council can then approach the second placed contractor and the same process as stated above will commence.
Further Competition:
1. All three successful contractors who gained a place on lots 1 or 2 will be invited to participate in a further competition for a works scheme.
2. The Council will provide the Contractors with a with a brief / schedule of works, designs and all other necessary information relating to the works scheme.
3. Contractors will be given a minimum of 2-weeks to submit a quotation.
4. Providing bidders return all required information as requested by the Council, all further competitions will then be evaluated against a criterion of 100% price.
5. All participating bidders will be notified of the outcome of the further competition as soon as possible following internal approval to award.
ï‚§ Lots 3 & 4:
Award without further competition:
1. All work under lots 3 and 4 of this framework will be awarded without further competition.
2. The two successful contractors who gain a place on lots 3 or 4 will be ranked 1st & 2nd based on their tender evaluation score in applying to get on the Framework.
3. The Council will approach the first ranked supplier with a brief / schedule of works, designs and all other necessary information relating to the works scheme.
4. The contractor must respond to the Council within 5 working days (or earlier if stipulated by the Framework Manager) either accepting or declining the works.
