Established in 1981, John Taylor Crane Services Ltd is a family firm of crane specialists based at two sites on the borders of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. In the beginning our core business was roadside repair and servicing however in recent years we have expanded and now offer a full range of accident recovery, major repairs, servicing, testing, mini crane hire & contract lifting.

The newest component of our business is JT Contract Lifting – Our team of industry experts manage the whole lifting operation from start to finish.

Contract Lifting Services

JT Contract Lifting was set up in June 2013 following an increase in customers requesting a full CPA Contract Lift service and achieved instant success with a growing customer base.

Under the terms of a CPA Contract Lift the company will carry out all work in accordance with BS 7121 and LOLER 1998, provide a Competent Appointed Person who has the knowledge, experience and understanding of all aspects of the lifting operation. They will plan the lift, provide Method Statements & Risk Assessments and operate a safe system of work meeting all Health & Safety legislation.

Mini Crane Hire

JT Mini Crane Hire was founded in 2006 when we saw the potential of these versatile little crawler cranes. Ranging from 600mm to 1600mm wide, our fleet of mini cranes are the ideal solution for areas where a truck mounted crane just can’t fit. And, navigating easily through a standard or double doorway they can even work inside!

As construction sites get ever tighter for space utilising the LPG or electric options on our mini cranes take emissions to a safe level for working confined areas both inside and out.

With a maximum capacity of 6T these invaluable machines make lifting easy – supplied with an operator or self operated to give you the ultimate flexibility.

Strategically based within 50 miles of the City of London and bordering the east midlands, where transport links are second to none, JT Mini Crane Hire are perfectly situated to supply mini cranes countrywide to those who have an immediate need for this innovative little crane.

Repairs and Servicing

Offering a range of services from accident recovery to major repair or rebuild of mobile cranes that have been involved in road traffic incidents, set on fire, have bent booms or have fallen over – both throughout the UK and abroad.

JT Crane Services have the skills, resources, knowledge and experience to turn repairs around quickly, to the highest standards, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to technical research, customer research and product development.

Annual and 4 Year Tests

In addition to the repairs and servicing works we are able to facilitate annual and 4 yearly testing to British Standards.

Test Weight Hire

We have a large selection of lifting accessories at our disposal, all available for hire, including test weights and cradles in a variety of sizes and weights.
