Mayfield was part of the McKean Group. Last month two other subsidiaries 鈥� McKean & Company (Glasgow) Ltd and Hudson Vision Ltd were wound up.
Now Mayfield 麻豆社 Company Ltd, as well as the parent group company itself, are in the hands of administrators from Ernst & Young. More than 80 employees have lost their jobs.
McKean was established in 1918 as McKean & Renwick, Railway and Public Works Contractors.
Mayfield began in plant hire in 1965 and moved into public works contracting. It was acquired by McKean in 1999 when the founder retired.
