The move brings the company鈥檚 fit-out capability under the Tilbury Douglas brand, creating, the company says, a clearer and more unified identity for customers, partners and stakeholders across the construction and refurbishment sectors.
The Tilbury Douglas name dates back to 1884, when a predecessor company was founded as the London and Tilbury Lighterage Company Limited. It merged with RM Douglas in 1991, before rebranding as Interserve in 2001. With Interserve's 2019 collapse, the Tilbury Douglas name was reborn for rump elements of the business.
Tilbury Douglas explained the new name, saying that it had been carefully chosen to better reflect the technical expertise and delivery capability of the business, and that this more accurately represents the business鈥� specialist services in Cat A and Cat B fit-out and internal refurbishment projects, workplace transformation and technically led interior delivery.
Jack Dixon, managing director of Tilbury Douglas Fit-Out, appointed in December 2025, said: 鈥淭his is an important step in aligning our specialist fit-out capability with the strength and reputation of the Tilbury Douglas brand.
